ComPany History

Al Senior started in 1976 with a small floor placing and finishing company with two employees.  At that time, concrete was purchased from an external company. He saw that there was a market for additional concrete services in London and Meter-Mix Concrete was created in 1979.

As time went on, Metermix Concrete grew and expanded their fleet, capacity, and services. The increase in volume and customer base persuaded them to create Forest City Ready Mix, a division of Metermix, in 1993. The flooring company was sold in 2007, with the intention of focusing their energy on Metermix Concrete and Forest City Ready Mix.

Today, Metermix Concrete employees approximately 25 to 30 employees, has 20 trucks and operates year round.  Services include concrete delivery, ready-mix concrete and concrete pumping.

Metermix Concrete serves customers on a "first come first serve basis," says Al. Senior the company president.  Concrete orders can be placed and delivered the same day the order is made.  They also pride themselves on their "pay for what you use policy with our Metermix trucks" says Al. Jr. the company Vice President.  If the customer orders 3 meters of concrete and only use 2 meters, that's what the customer is charged for.
